Hi there! Welcome to my personal website. My name is Johan Meiring, and I am a 17-year old male from South Africa. I have a passion
for programming (which is what about 75% of this website consists of), music (Drums) and Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. Check out the About Me page for more info on me.
NEWS!!
Hi guys! I'm planning to start redesiging this website within the next few weeks, or as soon as my schoolwork calms down a bit. I'm also planning on redoing EditMan, that is, I want to make an EditMan Lite version, which will just be a text editor,
and an EditMan Deluxe version, which will include syntax highlighting. This means you can get EditMan without having to stuck with all the features you might never want to use.
I've also finished the website of our church's youth group... you can give it a visit at www.agsdeogloria.co.za/ice.
EditMan 1.2.0 Now Available!
EditMan has undergone several bug fixes and
improvements during the past month, so those of you who have downloaded it, get yourself an update. And if you haven't already downloaded a copy,
please do so, I'd really appreciate any feedback that you're willing to give. IT'S FREE!! If you have already downloaded EditMan or if you are planning to do so, then
join the EditMan Mailing List so that I can keep you up-to-date about changes, updates, etc.
New Delphi Page
I have redone the Delphi Page. It's A LOT more organized now, and definitely MUCH neater. The page now uses tables to show information on the VCL components, and links placed at the top
of the page make the components more accessible. Give it a look!
My Band's Song
On 3 January, me and a couple of friends got together and recorded a song, just for the heck of it.
Click here if you would like to give it a listen (MP3 format, about 5MB). Any feedback that you're willing to give is most welcome!! But maybe
I should tell you more about the song. The song is titled "A Work of Art" and is 5:16 long. Cilnette Pienaar (singer) wrote the words and Stefan Swart (electric guitarist) wrote
the music. I played drums and did most of the mixing/recording. We recorded the song onto a tape and then played it into my computer using the line-input of my sound card.
The MP3 encoding problem has been fixed, so the quality of the MP3 is A LOT better now. It sounds pretty good, considering it was recorded onto a tape and there were only vocals, drums and guitar :-)
