I
began Kite Surfing in January 2000, with a solid background in wakeboarding,
windsurfing and a variety of other extreme sports creating a platform
to take off from in this new extreme venture, which has captured my
focus and seen all my other activities fade into the background.
The phenomenal heights, adrenaline surges, acrobatics and the thin
line between chaotic danger and harmonious gentleness are some of
the aspects that (for me) touch on the cosmic dimensions of this evolutionary
sport. Living across the road from one of the top Kite Surfing
venues, Dolphin Beach (Cape Town) enables extensive training in optimal
conditions, with nothing to stand in the way of my progression.
